The Philippines "The Movie"

As I know you are all anxiously awaiting this installment of our adventures, I can't keep you in suspense any longer. It is a little long, sorry about that. But just know that the original version was twice as long so I actually cut out quite a bit :)

Enjoy!
UPDATE: I know that Youtube has taken this down because it was over 10 minutes long. I am working on editing it down the 1 minute and putting it back up, but wouldn't you know it . . . I saved it in a program that won't let me re-edit. So bear with me as I resolve this crisis :)

Snow

Here are some snow pictures from a weeks or so ago. We had gone out to dinner with our friend, Hanns, to a great little noodle place. When we walked outside - it was snowing! Part of me wanted to walk back to the hotel catching snowflakes on my tongue, but it was too cold. We had to take a taxi back. But, I did catch a few snowflakes on my tongue in the parking lot at Tesco :)

More Philippines

We have been having an amazing trip in the Philippines. Yesterday we went out to Taal Lake and Taal Volcano. Aaryn hiked to the very tippy top. I hiked halfway up and then got a mule for the remainder of the trek, her name was Patricia. The view was unbelievable! On Saturday we went to the Mall of Asia (the 7th largest in the world). It has the best view of the sunset over Manila Bay. We had drinks and watched to sunset and then the fireworks show. This has been just what we needed. We also, finally, got our visas and we will be able to go back to China tomorrow. Bye, bye heat . . . hello cold!

The Philippines

Just in case you haven't heard . . . we are in the Philippines!!!!! We have only been in China for 2 1/2 weeks and already we are travelling around. We are really here for Aaryn to go to a plant in Calamba and for us to finilize our visa process (which is a PROCESS!!!) While we are here we are sneaking in a little site-seeing. Mostly we have seen the inside of Embassys and Consulates but yesterday we saw Fort Santiago and Intrmuros. It is a walled fortress in the heart of Manila. There is even a home that Imelda Marcos renovated. We can't wait to see more - but alas, tomorrow we go back to the Consulate.
