The Saga Continues

I never knew watching other people work really hard packing all of your crap could be so exhausting! I am tired!!! And I haven't done anything except watch and direct. Soon our house will be an empty shell - except for all of the things that are going to other people and storage, so maybe not so empty, but emptier.

Our New Home

People always ask us, what is our apartment going to be like. We get questions all the time about whether we will have a toilet, or if we have to live in a hut with dirt floors. To that I just have to ask - do you know me???? I can do a lot of things but dirt floors and no toilet???? So, to answers everyone's questions I made my very first video. Sorry it is sideways, I couldn't figure out how to turn the video - I am still learning. Check it out! And notice there are two guest rooms, so come visit!!!

Going Away Party/Chinese New Year

Here are some of the pictures from our Shindig on Sat. If you weren't there we missed you . . .if you were there we had a blast!

Moving Day

Today is the day they pack up all of our belongings that are going to China and take them away. It is sad to see things packed, but exciting at the same time. Maybe I am just a geek, no, I am a geek. But, I love to see how they pack up everything. I just stood there and watched Eric (one of the movers) wrap up a table and pack it away - I was in awe.
Well, anyways . . .I took some video of this momentous occasion and as soon as I figure out how to edit it I will upload it to our blog. Also, soon to come, pictures from our going away party. Stay tuned!!!

The Great Apartment Search

So, we leave in just about a month and I am here packing up our life, sorting thru all of our closets - full of 5 years of crap! While I do that, Aaryn is in China, meeting his team and searching for our apartment. Now, for the average family, this would be a difficult task. For poor Aaryn, whose wife is an interior decorator with certain expectations, this is almost impossible. Factor in the time difference and trying to talk about the apartment choices either at the crack of dawn or while I am falling asleep . . . I am so frustrated I want to scream. I know it will all work out. I just need to be patient and let it happen. So, I will continue packing and sorting, Aaryn apartment hunting, and eventually we will be moving to China. I'll keep you posted!
